Parallax is a free-standing sculptural piece; a balance of elegance and function. A radial array of curves juxtaposed with the morphing shape of its sections creates an illusion of movement. Motivated by the idea of natural formations, the piece aims to transform its surrounding by its changing silhouette as one moves through space. The subtle slope of the back and the seating area make up an unbroken flow from seating upright to lying in relaxation. The soft profile of the piece also allows for different seating positions.
